Intangible Cultural Heritage Fun Day: A Celebration of Tradition and Taste

2024-10-10

On October 8, our English and Tourism and Hospitality Studies panels co-hosted a vibrant "Intangible Cultural Heritage Fun Day" to celebrate Hong Kong's rich food culture and Chinese festivals.

The event featured engaging English game booths, where students navigated mazes, answered fun quiz questions, and even acted as tour guides, explaining Hong Kong's iconic foods with enthusiasm. Students eagerly collected stamps, which they redeemed for delicious traditional snacks like dragon’s beard candy and candy & coconut wrap (literally translated from Chinese as "sugar onion cake", although it surprisingly contains no onion!).

The event proved to be a nostalgic journey for both teachers and students, offering a delightful taste of cultural traditions and bringing the school community together in celebration.
